Members and Friends & Family Chillout Fun Ride
Stratford Hills, Sunday 25th March 2012
Our ride is suitable for young horses, veteran horses, “wobbly” hackers and anyone who would like to experience a quiet hack in different surroundings, with no road work without the pressure of having to go a distance or at speed! (Not suitable for “thrusters” or “speed merchants”!!)
The route is approximately 6 miles long taking in the field headlands, grassland and woodland of the beautiful Stratford Hills estate land and will take approximately an hour to complete. There will be no road work, although some of the field edges run alongside country lanes.
Afternoon times will be set for riders who wish to remain in walk and trot, however those who want to have a nice quiet canter will be allocated morning times.
- In order to preserve the sedate and calm theme all riders will be asked to observe specific guidelines about overtaking and passing other riders, and no jumping is to be allowed.
- All riders should have a minimum of Third Party Insurance cover.
- Riders under the age of 14 to be accompanied by adult(s). Lead rein riders welcome.
- There are sheep/lambs on the farm. Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.
- Refreshments will be available.
- On receipt of your entry you will be sent confirmation by post or email of your time along with a copy of the rules and guidelines for the ride.
Entries will be limited and closing date for entries will be 17th March 2012.
