The club committee comprises the following lovely ladies:-
Carol Hipkin - Club Chairman
Carol Bolton - Treasurer.
Marian French - Secretary.
"I'm currently horseless for the first time in 35 years and learning about what
non-horsey people do at weekends. WLTM reliable equine to look after me in
my old age!"
Teresa Endean
Teresa has over 30 years experience owning horses and has been on the committee since 2003 - her skills in arranging many of our clinics & events are invaluable! Somehow, she combines this with a very demanding career, husband and young daughter, Sarah. Other family members include Sarah's shetland, Merlin, 4 guinea pigs, a dog, 1 cat and 30+ fish.
Cheryl Gregory
The tee shirt has faded; 45 years of horses - is it really that long? The participation, the dedication has not diminished. However the years have taken their toll and my equine need today is different. Something gentle, understanding and less demanding. Being there and helping others now plays a much greater part in my life.
Vanessa White
Clare Taylor - Publicity/Press Officer
"Creative energy" behind the CVRC newsletters. Has been magnetically drawn towards anything equine from an early age, and is currently discovering the joys of dressage with palomino gelding Squire, who has gracefully retired from the hunting field. Personally proves it is possible to combine demanding career, keeping non-horsey (and very tolerant) husband and other family members happy, whilst pursuing own equestrian goals without too much collateral damage. Also enjoys writing (just as well really), reading, walking, tack cleaning and having a laugh.
Catherine Raffe - website.
Catherine can be seen terrorising the village of Bradfield with Billy Boy, with partner Richard cycling alongside, apologising for the trail of destruction and chaos wherever they go! Aug 07 - Catherine would like to update this by saying that Billy has grown up considerably, at long last, & now generally manages to hack out without too much trouble. Can otherwise be found in the dressage arena (jumping is far too traumatic!) & occasionally the showring - Billy loves to be admired!
Addie Akers - Showjumping and Cross Country
Enthusiastic, pro-jumping, anti dressage member of the committee!
Always trying to persuade riding club members to get all four of their equine friends' feet off the ground and give jumping a go!
Usually seen flying over jumps on her oversized, cheeky, but talented horse Basil and regularly heard threatening to sell him when things go wrong! Always has her ever faithful dog Bob at her side and usually clutching Cortaflex catalogues to thrust onto unsuspecting targets!
Victoria Littlewood
Victoria's passion is for showing, although you will also regularly see her in a dressage arena or showjumping ring too - she will turn her hand to most things equestrian! She currently has 2 horses, Marz & new acquisition Brocket, & is instantly recognised everywhere she goes by the presence of Alfie the Corgi by her side.
Kelly-Anne Cole
I have over 20 years of horsey experience, which is scary as its starting to highlight how old I am! I have a BSc in Equine Studies and spent a couple of years at the Edinburgh Vet school working on COPD and Grass sickness research. I am now the lucky owner of Sir Jimbob a talented little Coloured Cob. Jimbob and I do just about every riding club discipline It would be fair to say we not the most talented duo out there, but we like to give it a go and have great fun doing it!
You will often see me being 'walked' around show grounds by the other two men in my life pictures here! I am currently in the process of organising regular dressage clinics with Lynn Perry so if you are interested please give me a call.
