TRAVELLING HORSES
John Parker will be one of the speakers at the Symposium on Transport organised by the BHS in Suffolk. It is being held at Stowupland Village Hall on Tuesday 25th March 2008. Starting at 7.00pm
John will speak on the Welfare of Horses (Transport) Order 2006 for which he is responsible for organising courses. This Directive comes into effect on 30th April 2008. Kevin Needham of the British Bloodstock Agency will cover the documentation needed and his experiences of transporting horses at home and abroad. The safety of horseboxes will be the subject covered by David Gazeley of Gazeley Horsebox repairs. For those members wanting more information on licences to drive horseboxes there will be a representative from Driver Transport Training to answer their questions.
