Sunday the 1st of July dawned bright and breezy as the Colne Valley contingent made their way up to Poplar Park for the annual Area 14 One Day Event, hosted by Finn Valley Riding Club. This year we were well represented by a novice team of 4 riders (Kelly Cole, Alexis Landing, Michelle Oliver and Louise Allen), an individual novice rider Claire Akers, and two individual intermediate entrants Addie Akers and Lucy Browning-Smith.

Yet another wet day! However, once again our stalwart members (mad fools!) braved the cold and wet to represent our club at regional level. This time we were at Thorne Court, Shimpling, the home showground of St Edmunds Riding Club, our hosts for the day.

We opted to put just one team forward for the Senior Riding Tests, a qualifying competition for the BRC National Championships held at Lincoln in September.
